An authentic catechetical renewal requires new catechetical models that help children, teachers, parents, and families discover their authentic Catholic identity to reinvigorate fruitful participation in the Church’s life and mission.
The Church needs new catechetical resources to not only provide faithful teaching, we must go beyond just teaching the faith. We must be able to explain why the faith is relevant in our modern culture.
Word of Life inspires students with a practicality that is often missing in religious education. Students will be presented with practical situations and concrete examples of virtuous and holy character. The series draws from the rich tradition of the Church, specifically Saint Thomas Aquinas, to explain virtue in a way that is accessible enough for young minds to apply it to their lives. Students, families, teachers, and catechists will all come to know ways to recognize virtue and live it in their daily lives. Word of Life calls students, teachers, and parents to be people of character.
